The History of Viking Mechanical Contractors
I started this business because I found the engineering behind plumbing and heating fascinating. My father was an engineer and growing up I was always around blueprints for large commercial jobs and I used to stare at these drawing and wondered how a building and a home can so function while everything is hidden behind the walls.
I took to plumbing and heating quite easily, becoming a master plumber, master gasfitter and starting my first company by the time I was only twenty-five. Since then my interest in this line of work has only grown with the changes that new technology continues to bring to our industry.
Insurance work became the main focus when just before my wife and I married, her home flooded. Seeing the frustration and emotion in her made me want to do something to help.
So, I made introductions with several restoration companies and we begin a decade long journey in dealing with insurance claims from large scale home rebuilds to simple in and out jobs. As a result, the company has a vast knowledge in the operations of the insurance world which makes it easier to help our customers.
I know from personal experience the hassle of dealing with a huge loss in your home and we want to make some of the process as painless as possible, even if it’s only the plumbing and heating side.
Viking eventually branched out into condo maintenance with the support of small local property management companies, some of which are sadly no longer around, and others that we still work with today.
Viking prides itself on proper communication. Whether it’s a private homeowner, project manager, property manager or condo board member, I understand everyone has questions and I built my company to be happy to help and answer them, making the complex world of plumbing and heating understandable to everyone.
We do not use scare tactics with our clients as we want to create long lasting relationships of repeat business, not just a onetime customer. We promise to come in and give you fair and truthful information about your home along with possible ways to remedy the issues that won’t leave you high and dry.
I also wanted to build a company that was pure, honest and family orientated. Even my son works for the company, and will one day take it over. I know home repairs can be costly and finding a company you can trust is a huge deal. If you have not already found a heating, AC & plumbing company that you trust, I invite you to reach out to us and see how we put our words into action.
